Making Climate Finance Work for All

It is critical that this New Collective Quantified Goal, or NCQG, reflects the lessons learned over the last 15 years, restores trust in the multilateral process, and equips countries to respond to rapidly escalating challenges. This report sets out key principles and five tests that can help ensure the NCQG is robust, all of which are underpinned by a core principle of fairness.

We aim to complement ongoing reporting from UN agencies and civil society groups to paint a picture of these harsh realities.

Adolescent Girls in Crisis: Voices from Ukraine, Poland and Romania

Girls displaced by the war in Ukraine face severe educational disruption and mental health challenges. The research reveals that both those who remain in Ukraine and those who have fled to neighbouring countries such as Moldova, Poland, and Romania are facing significant challenges. Their education has been severely disrupted, with many falling behind in their studies or dropping out entirely.

Interoperability and Data Sharing Between Civil Registration, Health Information, Statistics and Associated Systems

The registration of vital events such as births, deaths, marriages, and divorces hinges on extensive data sharing among various governmental and civil entities. Identity verification crucially depends on data exchange, allowing for real-time updates and the prevention of identity fraud. This process involves healthcare providers, vital records offices, public health agencies, funeral directors and court systems. These all need to coordinate in order to maintain accurate legal records and facilitate services like public health surveillance and civil document verification.

For Our Futures: Youth Voices on Climate Justice and Education

For Our Futures: Youth Voices on Climate Justice
and Education engaged 30 young change makers
across Australia, Indonesia and Nepal using a Feminist
Participatory Action Approach to co-research the impact
of climate change on girls’ right to an education. The
approach included training and equipping young people
with the skills to advocate for change. This took place over
six online cross-country workshops and ongoing in-country
engagement with youth activists.
